Howl (2010)
Allan Ginsbergs Vorlesung seines Gedichts "Howl" und der nachfolgende Druck des Textes erzeugte Mitte der 50er Jahre in den USA einen Skandal, der nicht nur dazu führte, dass das schmale Buch verboten wurde, sondern das auch sein Verleger angeklagt wurde, unsittliche Schriften veröffentlicht zu haben. Parallel verfolgt der Film vier Handlungsstränge - den Vortrag des Gedichtes in einem kleinen Club, die zwei Jahre später stattfindende Gerichtsverhandlung, ein Interview mit Ginsberg, in dem er seine Beweggründe erläutert und auch über seine offen gelebte Homosexualität spricht, und die animierte visuelle Umsetzung des Textes.
