Jeffrey Warren " Jeff ". Daniels (geb. 19. Februar 1955) ist ein amerikanischer Schauspieler, Musiker und Dramatiker. Er gründete eine gemeinnützige Theatergruppe, die Purple Rose Theatre Company, in seinem Heimatstaat Michigan. Er hat in einer Reihe von Bühnenproduktionen gespielt, sowohl am Broadway als auch außerhalb. Er wurde für den Tony Award als bester Schauspieler für das Broadway-Spiel God of Carnage (2009) nominiert, zusammen mit seinen anderen drei Kameraden. Er hatte eine blühende Filmkarriere, von seinem Debüt 1981 in Ragtime bis hin zu State of Play 2009. Für seine Filmarbeit erhielt er drei Nominierungen für den Golden Globe Award, darunter als Beste Performance eines Schauspielers in einem Film - Comedy/Musical für Woody Allens The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) (daher der Name seiner Theatergruppe).
