The Party (2017)
Janet wurde von ihrer Partei als Gesundheitsministerin im Schattenkabinett nominiert. Das will die Politikerin mit ihrem Mann Bill sowie einigen Gästen feiern. Janets beste Freundin April ist mit ihrem deutschen Partner Gottfried gekommen, auch das lesbische Paar Martha und Jinny und der Banker Tom sind erschienen, letzterer allerdings ohne seine Frau Marianne und in einem äußerst nervösen Zustand. Doch Tom ist nicht der einzige, der sich merkwürdig verhält: Bill ist geistig abwesend und erträgt den Abend nur mit Alkohol, die ehemalige Idealistin April stichelt mit bissigen Kommentaren gegen ihren sanftmütigen Mann und die anderen Anwesenden und Martha und die schwangere Jinny kabbeln sich wegen ihrer unterschiedlichen feministischen Ansichten. Es wird ein Abend der großen Enthüllungen…
