The Ship (2019)
Es sollte eine neue Existenz der Familie werden, das alte Segelschiff “Mary”, welches David (Gary Oldman) für seine Frau Sarah (Emely Mortimer) und die zwei Kinder Mary (Chloe Perrin) und Lindsay (Stefanie Scott) bei einer Auktion ersteigert hat. Nachdem sie das Schiff in Ordnung gebracht haben, stechen sie mit Tommy (Owen Teague) und Mike (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) in See. Aber irgendetwas scheint nicht richtig zu sein. So hat Mary auf einmal einen imaginären Freund und sie malt schreckliche Bilder, die nach und nach wahr werden. Sarah findet heraus, das jedes Mal, wenn jemand mit dem Schiff aufs offene Meer gefahren ist, nicht wieder gekommen ist. Und so nimmt das Schicksal seinen Lauf. Einer nach dem Anderen stirbt und am Ende ist nur noch Sarah übrig, die von der Polizei verhört wird. Aber ist es auch wirklich Sarah, oder das Böse des Bootes?
