The Happy Prince (2018)
Ein wilder und bewegender Rückblick auf das turbulente Leben des berühmten Schriftstellers Oscar Wilde! Es gab eine Zeit, da wurde Oscar Wilde geliebt: Von den Kritikern, die seine Wortgewandtheit lobten, von den Zuschauern, die seine Stücke verehrten sowie von der Oberschicht, die sich gerne mit ihm schmückte. Doch als Wildes „verabscheuungswürdige“ Liaison mit dem Sohn eines schottischen Adligen ihn für zwei Jahre ins Zuchthaus mit schwerer Zwangsarbeit bringt, kehrt er 1897 als kranker Mann von dort zurück. Im Pariser Exil lässt er nur noch wenige Menschen an sich heran und ein Leben voller Exzesse, genialer Gedanken und voller Liebe Revue passieren. Denn ein Leben ohne Liebe wäre für Oscar Wilde undenkbar gewesen.
