Cimarron (1960)
Ein epischer Western von Anthony Mann um einen ehrbaren Abenteurer, der im neu besiedelten Oklahoma um 1889 eine Tageszeitung gründet. Oklahoma, April 1889: Nach dem ersten Land Run lässt sich auch der Abenteurer Yancey Cravat mit seiner Frau in dem neu besiedelten Landstrich nieder. In ihrem kleinen Wigwam gründet die Cravet-Familie eine Tageszeitung, die sie langsam aber sicher zu einem Imperium ausbauen. Bald schon kandidiert Yancey für den Gouverneursposten, um so den Indianern helfen zu können, ihr eigenes Land und Öl zu verteidigen.
