The Father (2020)
Anne sorgt sich um ihren Vater Anthony. Als stolzer Mann lehnt er trotz seines hohen Alters jede Unterstützung durch eine Pflegekraft ab. Obwohl ihn sein Gedächtnis immer häufiger im Stich lässt, ist er davon überzeugt, auch weiterhin allein zurechtzukommen. Doch als Anne ihm eröffnet, dass sie zu ihrem Freund nach Paris ziehen wird, ist er verwirrt. Wer ist dann dieser Fremde in seinem Wohnzimmer, der vorgibt mit Anne verheiratet zu sein? Anthony versucht, die sich permanent verändernden Umstände zu begreifen und beginnt mehr und mehr zu zweifeln: an seinem Verstand und schließlich auch an seiner eigenen Wahrnehmung.
