Das US-Militär plant eine geheime Aktion gegen Vampire in Südamerika. Unter der Führung von Tom "Hawk" Hawkins wird dafür eine Söldnertruppe in den Regenwald geschickt, wo schon komplette Dörfer von einer regelrechten Epidemie blutgieriger Teufel ausgelöscht wurden. Und auch die Ex-Frau von Hawk, eine Archäologin, die in der Gegend an Ausgrabungen arbeitet, wird von den Vampiren bedroht...
