Pete Smalls Is Dead (2010)
KC schuldet einem Kredithai eine Stange Geld, daher hat der ihm seinen geliebten Hund entführt und als Geisel genommen. KCs Freund Jack aus Los Angeles weiß Rat, und verspricht ihm, dass Pete Smalls ihm helfen wird. Also auf nach Los Angeles, wo der angebliche Retter allerdings nicht helfen kann, denn KC kommt gerade noch rechtzeitig zu dessen Beerdigung. Bald aber zeigt sich, dass im Sarg gar nicht der vermeintlich Verblichene sondern nur eine Puppe liegt. Was ist hier Realität und was ist Fiktion? In der Stadt der Traumfabrik scheint beides miteinander zu verschmelzen.
