Lovesong für Bobby Long (2004)
Als die 17-jährige Pursy vom Tod der Mutter erfährt, kehrt sie in ihre Heimatstadt New Orleans zurück, verpasst die Beerdigung allerdings um einen Tag. Nun will sie eigentlich nur noch ihr Erbe antreten. Doch in dem alten Holzhaus hat sich bereits der dem Whiskey verfallene Uniprofessor Bobby Long mit seinem Schützling eingenistet. Es stellt sich heraus, dass Pursys Mutter das Haus allen Dreien vermacht hat. Und so entwickelt sich notgedrungen eine unkonventionelle Wohngemeinschaft, die so manch bittersüßes Geheimnis birgt.
