Leonard Mudie (11. April 1883 – 14. April 1965) war ein englischer Charakterdarsteller, dessen Karriere fast fünfzig Jahre umfasste. Nach einem erfolgreichen Start als Bühnenschauspieler in England trat er regelmäßig in den USA auf und lebte ab 1932 dort. Er verkörperte Charakterrollen am Broadway und in Hollywood-Filmen. Mudies Filmdebüt gab er 1932 in Boris Karloffs Film „Die Mumie“. Im selben Jahr zog er nach Hollywood, wo er bis zu seinem Tod lebte. Er spielte eine Vielzahl von Filmrollen, darunter bedeutende und kurze Gastauftritte. Zu seinen größeren Rollen zählten Dr. Pearson in „Die Mumie“, Porthinos in „Cleopatra“ (1934), Maitland in „Maria Schottland“ (1936) und De Bourenne in „Anthony Adverse“ (1936). Seine kleineren Rollen, so die New York Times, waren typischerweise die eines „perückentragenden, scharfsinnigen britischen Richters“. Nach dem Krieg wechselte Mudie zum Fernsehen und wirkte in mehreren Folgen von „Adventures of Superman“ mit. Im Kino der Nachkriegszeit spielte er die wiederkehrende Rolle des Commander Barnes in der „Bomba, the Jungle Boy“-Filmreihe.
