Biografie:

Carmine Orrico war ein US-amerikanischer Film- und Fernsehschauspieler. Mitte der 1950er-Jahre wurde Carmine von den Universal Studios unter Vertrag genommen und drehte seine ersten Filme, hier wurde sein Geburtsname durch John Saxon ersetzt. Als Darsteller von jungen sportlichen und attraktiven Figuren wurde er schnell populär, erhielt 1958 für Männer über Vierzig den Golden Globe als Bester Nachwuchsdarsteller, trotzdem gelang ihm in jungen Jahren nie der Aufstieg zum großen Filmstar, obwohl Saxon schon früh mit berühmten Regisseuren wie Blake Edwards, John Huston und Otto Preminger arbeitete. Er war meist nur in Nebenrollen zu sehen und war zudem ein häufiger Gaststar in US-amerikanischen Fernsehserien.
