John William Francis Hallam (28. Oktober 1941 – 14. November 2006[1]) war ein nordirischer Charakterdarsteller. Geboren als John William Francis Hallam in Lisburn, Nordirland, wirkte er in zahlreichen Film- und Fernsehrollen mit, darunter in „Nicholas and Alexandra“ (1971), „Murphy's War“ (1971), „The Pallisers“ (1974), „The Mallens“ (1979), „Flash Gordon“ (1980), „Dragonslayer“ (1981), den BBC-Fernsehverfilmungen von „Prinz Kaspian“ und „Die Reise auf der Morgenröte“ (1989) sowie „Robin Hood – König der Diebe“ (1991). Er ist außerdem in der Director's Cut-Fassung des Films „The Wicker Man“ (1973) als McTaggart zu sehen. In der Science-Fiction-Serie „Doctor Who“ verkörperte er den unvergesslichen Außerirdischen „Light“ in der Folge „Ghost Light“ (1989). Bekannt war er auch als Barnsey, der Zellengenosse von Den Watts in der britischen Seifenoper „EastEnders“. Hallam starb am 14. November 2006 in Clifton, Oxfordshire, England, im Alter von 65 Jahren. Er war geschieden und hatte vier Kinder.
