Der bekannte Charakterdarsteller Vigran hatte ursprünglich ein Jurastudium abgeschlossen. Später entschied er sich für die Schauspielerei und wirkte in Hunderten von Radiosendungen mit, unter anderem mit Jack Benny, Bob Hope und Jimmy Durante. Er trat häufig als verschiedene Schurken in der Fernsehserie „Adventures of Superman“ (1952) auf und hatte Gastauftritte in Serien wie „The Brady Bunch“ (1969) und „I Love Lucy“ (1951).
