Sala Baker ist ein Schauspieler und Stuntman aus Wellington, Neuseeland. Ursprünglich als einer von mehreren Stuntmen für die „Der Herr der Ringe“-Filmtrilogie engagiert, erhielt er schließlich die Rolle des Dunklen Herrschers Sauron. Darüber hinaus verkörperte er auch mehrere Orks, einen Gondorer sowie einen der Rohirrim. Außerhalb der Trilogie wirkte Baker in „Die Chroniken von Narnia: Der König von Narnia“ sowie in zwei Filmen der Reihe „Pirates of the Caribbean“ mit. Zudem gehörte Baker im Jahr 2003 zum erweiterten Stab bei der Entstehung des Films „Last Samurai“.
