Don Anderson wuchs in der Nähe der MGM-Studios auf und arbeitete während des Zweiten Weltkriegs als Jitterbug-Tänzer für das Studio. Er wurde Kleindarsteller und arbeitete als Schauspieler und Double, zunächst für Van Johnson. Er übernahm einige Stunts und spielte in „Der Wilde“ mit Marlon Brando einen der Biker, Shark. Don liebte das Showgeschäft und war bekannt und beliebt. Zuletzt war er Double und arbeitete mit Pierce Brosnan in „Remington Steele“. Er hinterließ seine Tochter Misa Anderson und einen Bruder.
