Michael Francis Moore ist ein amerikanischer Filmemacher, Autor und liberaler politischer Kommentator. Er ist Regisseur und Produzent von Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko und Capitalism: A Love Story, vier der zehn erfolgreichsten Dokumentarfilme aller Zeiten. Im September 2008 veröffentlichte er seinen ersten kostenlosen Film Slacker Uprising im Internet, der seinen persönlichen Kreuzzug dokumentiert, um mehr Amerikaner zur Teilnahme an Präsidentschaftswahlen zu ermutigen. Er hat auch für die Fernsehsendungen TV Nation und The Awful Truth geschrieben und die Hauptrolle gespielt. Moore kritisiert in seinen schriftlichen und filmischen Arbeiten die Globalisierung, Großkonzerne, den Besitz von Angriffswaffen, die US-Präsidenten Bill Clinton und George W.
