Mercedes J. Ruehl ist eine US-amerikanische Film-, Bühnen- und Fernsehschauspielerin. Sie wurde mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet, darunter ein Oscar, ein Golden Globe, ein Tony Award, ein Drama Desk Award, zwei Obie Awards und zwei Outer Critics Circle Awards. Ihre bekannteste Filmrolle spielte sie in „König der Fischer“ (Originaltitel: „The Fisher King“).
