Grant Withers (17. Januar 1905, Pueblo, Colorado – 27. März 1959, North Hollywood, Los Angeles, Kalifornien), geboren als Granville G. Withers, war ein produktiver amerikanischer Filmschauspieler mit einem umfangreichen Werk. Nach seinen Anfängen in der Stummfilmzeit etablierte sich Withers im Tonfilm mit einer beeindruckenden Liste von Hauptrollen als junger und attraktiver Hauptdarsteller. Im Laufe seiner Karriere nahm seine Bedeutung ab, doch er konnte einen Zehnjahresvertrag bei Republic Pictures abschließen. Seine Freundschaften mit John Ford und John Wayne sicherten ihm Rollen in neun Filmen von Wayne, später beschränkten sich seine Engagements jedoch auf Nebenrollen, hauptsächlich als Bösewicht in B-Filmen, Serien und schließlich im Fernsehen. Ende der 1950er-Jahre war er in zwei Folgen der Westernserie „26 Men“ zu sehen, die in Arizona spielte, wo er zuvor mit Loretta Young durchgebrannt war. Sein Leben beim Film, fünf gescheiterte Ehen und ein tragisches Ende boten alle Zutaten für ein eigenes Hollywood-Drama.
