Tony Goldwyn (* 20. Mai 1960 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Regisseur und Produzent. Er stammt aus einer bekannten Filmfamilie und studierte Schauspiel an der London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Seinen Durchbruch hatte Goldwyn mit Ghost – Nachricht von Sam (1990), in dem er den intriganten Carl Bruner spielte. Später übernahm er Rollen in Die Akte (1993), Nixon (1995) und Der letzte Samurai (2003). Zudem sprach er die Titelrolle in Disneys Tarzan (1999). Im Fernsehen wurde er durch die Serie Scandal (2012–2018) bekannt, in der er Präsident Fitzgerald Grant III verkörperte. Seit 2024 spielt er die Rolle des Bezirksstaatsanwalts Nicholas Baxter in Law & Order. Neben der Schauspielerei führte er Regie bei Filmen wie Conviction (2010) und inszenierte Episoden von Dexter, Grey’s Anatomy und Justified. Goldwyn engagiert sich politisch und setzt sich für soziale Projekte ein.
