Johnny Michael Martin begann seine Karriere als Stuntman und stieg innerhalb kurzer Zeit zum Stuntkoordinator und Second-Unit-Regisseur auf. In diesen Funktionen wirkte er an über 200 Filmen, Fernsehserien und Werbespots mit und wurde für seine Leistung im Film „Nur noch 60 Sekunden“ sogar als bester Stuntkoordinator des Jahres ausgezeichnet. 2003 gründete er seine eigene Produktionsfirma Martini Films. 2012 kooperierte Martini Films mit der China Film Group („CFG“) für den Spielfilm „Urban Games“, der vollständig in China und Korea gedreht wurde. Während dieser Produktion beauftragte CFG Martini Films mit der Produktion mehrerer Filme. Johnny Martin produzierte insgesamt über 18 Filme.
