Laurence Naismith (14. Dezember 1908 – 5. Juni 1992) war ein englischer Schauspieler. Naismith wirkte in Filmen wie „Diamantenfieber“ (1971), „Richard III.“ (1955), „Jason und die Argonauten“ (1963), „Die Versenkung der Bismarck!“ (1960), „Carrington VC“ (1954) und als Kapitän Edward Smith der RMS Titanic in „Die letzte Nacht der Titanic“ (1958) mit. 1963 stand er am Broadway im Musical „Here’s Love“ auf der Bühne und spielte 1967 die stumme Rolle des Merlin in der Verfilmung des Musicals „Camelot“. 1965 hatte er einen Gastauftritt als Barbier Gilly Bright in der Folge 25 „Die Bedrohung“ der Fernsehserie „12 O’Clock High“. In der Fernsehserie „Die Zwei“ (1971) spielte er Richter Fulton an der Seite von Tony Curtis und Roger Moore. Er spielte auch in dem Kinderfilm „Der unglaubliche Mr. Blunden“ (1972) mit, einem Geisterfilm. In der BBC-Produktion „Fall of Eagles“ (1974) verkörperte er Kaiser Franz Joseph von Österreich. Naismith spielte den Prinzen von Verona in der BBC-Fernsehfassung von Shakespeares „Romeo und Julia“. Neben der Schauspielerei war er Wirt des Pubs „Rowbarge“ in Woolhampton, Berkshire, und ein begeisterter Cricketfan. Naismith heiratete 1939 Vera Bocca aus Horden, County Durham.
