Anthony Joshua Shaffer war ein englischer Dramatiker, Drehbuchautor, Romancier, Rechtsanwalt und Werbefachmann. Er ist vor allem für sein mit dem Tony Award ausgezeichnetes Theaterstück „Sleuth“ und dessen gefeierte Verfilmung aus dem Jahr 1972 bekannt.
