Quand Churchill faisait son cinéma (2019)
Winston Churchill a compris le pouvoir des films, mais l’étendue réelle de son utilisation du cinéma comme outil de propagande est rarement explorée. En 1934, l'un des producteurs de films britanniques les plus célèbres, Alexander Korda, engagea Churchill comme scénariste et conseiller historique. C'était le début d'une collaboration unique. Churchill a fourni des notes de scénario pour les productions de Korda et a écrit un scénario épique. Lorsque la guerre éclate, leur collaboration prend une importance nationale. Korda a été envoyé en mission à Hollywood pour aider à amener l'Amérique dans la guerre, avec des résultats positifs. Avec l'accès à des documents inédits, ce film documentaire examine cette mission et une amitié qui sous-tend un partenariat unique et créatif.
