Senza via di scampo (1987)
Siamo al Pentagono: il Segretario alla Difesa (equivalente al nostro Ministro della Difesa) degli Stati Uniti David Brice sta dandosi un gran da fare, con l'aiuto prezioso ed un po' invadente del suo consigliere personale, il giovane, astuto e fedelissimo Scott Pritchard, per affossare definitivamente il progetto di un sommergibile "invisibile" (cioè non rilevabile dai sonar), che ha già assorbito un mare di denaro pubblico e che non si sa quanto ne assorbirà ancora.
