Ishtar (1987)
Chuck e Lyle (Hoffman e Beatty) sono due scalcinati cantautori e cabarettisti americani. Ingaggiati per una tournée in Marocco, durante il viaggio finiscono per farsi incantare da una bella terrorista, Shira. Capitati quasi per caso nel tirannico emirato di Ishtar, si trovano coinvolti in una serie di guai e, fra l'altro, vengono scambiati per i liberatori annunciati da un'antica profezia e per questo osannati dalle bande ribelli. Travestiti da beduini e persi nel deserto con un dromedario cieco, riescono a salvare la pelle e la carriera a spese della Cia che li voleva morti.
