Il castello (2001)
Il generale Eugene Erwing, eroe del Vietnam e del Golfo, uomo d'azione e intellettuale, una vera leggenda dell'esercito americano, per motivi di principio (ha disobbedito a un ordine ingiusto) viene internato in una prigione militare. Il comandante è un colonnello metodico e crudele, forse psicopatico, che vive malissimo la superiorità dell'altro. I detenuti eleggono Erwing loro capo morale e non solo. In una spirale di violenze e ingiustizie sempre più intollerabili, esplode la sfida fra il generale e il comandante, che ricorda quasi quella tra i due colonnelli de Il Ponte sul fiume Kwai.
