Nella giornata di S. Valentino si incrociano diverse storie, tutte flebilmente unite tra loro. C’è l’italoamericano colmo di gioia per aver chiesto di sposarlo alla sua ragazza che di lavoro consegna fiori, c’è la press agent stressata e sempre sola, il reporter sportivo d’assalto relegato a fare costume, la donna soldato in licenza dal fronte, la maestra elementare che sembra aver finalmente trovato l’uomo giusto, il bambino di lei innamorato e il donnaiolo incallito.
