Kojak è su un nuovo caso, i corpi di due giovani ragazzi si trovano nel fiume Harlem. La loro madre (Kate Nelligan) è il principale evidente sospettato, in particolare con il suo passato scandaloso, ma Kojak crede di essere innocente. Poco dopo il padre dei ragazzi (Pat Hingle) si uccide. Kojak e il suo nuovo assistente (John Bedford Lloyd) devono sistemare le cose e risolvere il caso che non sarà un compito così semplice come sembra.
