Da quando cinque anni prima ha perso il padre e ha rotto con il fidanzato, Anna fa fatica a relazionarsi con gli altri. Avendo perso interesse nell'incontrare qualcuno che la faccia innamorare ancora, si concentra sulla scuola e si prende cura della madre e della sorella Sacha. Nel volere esserle d'aiuto, Sacha decide di creare un profilo per la sorella su una app per incontri. Di fronte a tanti potenziali corteggiatori, dopo aver messo da parte la sua riluttanza, Anna si concentra sull'affascinante Pete, finendo presto vittima di una spirale di inquietanti messaggi, paranoie e ansie, causati da uno stalker che non ha nulla da perdere.
