Un amore alle corde (2010)
Rhett Ryan è un cantautore di musica country che vive a Prospect, una cittadina di provincia di 1832 abitanti , in uno stato del sud degli Usa. Sta per fare il grande salto professionale perché ha la possibilità di trasferirsi a Nashville e di fare carriera. Samantha, la sua compagna, ha accettato di seguirlo ma ora ha un forte ripensamento perché finirebbe con l’allontanare quasi definitivamente la sua bambina dall’ex marito Tommy Carson che è lo sceriffo locale. Tommy inoltre ha problemi con il fratello appena uscito di prigione e incapace di risolvere le proprie frustrazioni se non con il tramite della violenza. Anche Rhett ha un fratello, Lews, il quale viene ritenuto omosessuale da una madre invadente solo perché non si crede abbastanza piacevole da poter uscire con una ragazza.
