Il filo nascosto (2017)
Londra, anni Cinquanta. Reynolds Woodcock, celebre stilista, fa palpitare il cuore della moda inglese abbigliando la famiglia reale, le star del cinema, le ricche ereditiere, le celebrità mondane, le debuttanti e le signore dell'alta società. Lavoratore bulimico e uomo impossibile, Reynolds dispone delle sue conquiste secondo l'umore e dirige la sua maison con aria solenne, affiancato da Cyril, sorella e socia altrettanto ieratica. Mr. Woodcock ha un debole per la bellezza che riconosce in Alma, cameriera in un hotel della costa. La giovane donna, immediatamente sedotta da quel "ragazzo affamato", lo segue a Londra e ne diventa la musa. Stabilitasi nella casa di Knightsbridge, Alma rivela presto un carattere tenace, vincendo lo scetticismo di Cyril, che la crede di passaggio, e accomodando le (brusche) maniere del suo Pigmalione. Ma la difficoltà crescente di ottenere un vero impegno da Reynolds la spinge a trovare un rimedio.
