Notting Hill (1999)
William Thacker vive a Londra nel quartiere Notting Hill, in una casa che divide con Spike, un giovane sfaccendato che si muove bene nel disordine e nella confusione. William è proprietario di una libreria specializzata in libri di viaggio, dove un giorno capita Anna Scott, diva del cinema americano, a Londra per promuovere il suo ultimo film. Dopo un primo impatto, i due si rivedono poco dopo e avvertono il bisogno di ripetere i loro incontri. Amore a prima vista, complicato però dalle loro opposte situazioni. Per evitare difficoltà alla carriera dell'attrice, la coppia si vede di nascosto e di fretta. Solo in una occasione, William invita Anna ad una cena di compleanno della sorella. Qui la grande diva si confonde a tavola con i suoi ammiratori quasi increduli. Poco dopo però arriva in città il fidanzato di lei, e la storia sembra dover finire. Passano altri mesi. Anna entra all'improvviso in libreria...
