Sugarland Express (1974)
Una giovane donna convince il marito ad evadere di prigione, nonostante gli rimangano solo quattro mesi da scontare, per raggiungere il figlioletto affidato ad un'anziana coppia di coniugi. I due si impadroniscono poi di un'auto della polizia, prendendo in ostaggio l'autista. All'inseguimento della coppia si lanciano subito diverse pattuglie delle forze dell'ordine alle quali, via via, se ne aggiungono altre. Il gigantesco carosello viene seguito con emozione, per radio e per televisione, da migliaia di persone. La donna si sente un'eroina e convince il marito a non arrendersi.
