Downton Abbey (2019)
Il film si collega alle vicende raccontate nell'omonima serie tv britannica.1927: la famiglia Crawley è in subbuglio. Re Giorgio V ha appena annunciato che farà visita all'antica magione di Downton Abbey insieme alla sua famiglia. La dimora del conte di Grantham diventa il quartier generale del maggiordomo del re britannico e di altri membri della servitù di Buckingham Palace. La servitù dei Crawley subisce ogni sorta di umiliazione. Lady Mary è convinta che l'attuale maggiordomo Thomas Barrow non sia in grado di gestire la delicata situazione e decide di richiamare in servizio un vecchio maggiordomo, il Signor Carson, ormai in pensione, affinché presti alla famiglia la sua competenza per la durata della visita reale. Ai piani bassi della villa, anche la servitù si prepara a suo modo al contrattacco.
