Very Good Girls (2013)
Da sempre migliori amiche, l'introspettiva Lilly (Dakota Fanning) e l'estroversa Gerry (Elizabeth Olson) trascorrono la loro ultima estate a casa, a New York, prima di prendere strade diverse e separarsi per il college. Entrambe finiscono per innamorarsi di David (Boyd Holbrook), un giovane di Brooklyn che hanno appena conosciuto, e molto presto Lilly inizia con lui una relazione segreta, mettendo per la prima volta in discussione il legame con l'amica. Quando però la sua vita familiare va a pezzi a causa della scoperta del tradimento del padre e Gerry sviluppa un'ossessione per David, Lilly trova conforto nel suo primo romanzo. Tuttavia, una tragedia nella famiglia di Gerry la catapulta nuovamente nella realtà, facendola confrontare con le conseguenze delle sue azioni.
