Sid 6.7 è un'unità composta da duecento personalità differenti, ognuna delle quali era un famoso criminale. E' stato generato virtualmente da un programma che il governo ha sviluppato per l'addestramento della polizia. Ma Sid non è più un semplice gioco di realtà virtuale. E' fuggito dai confini del cyberspazio. Lo insegue Parker Barnes, un poliziotto di Los Angeles che un tempo si è fatto giustizia con le proprie mani e ora, in quelle stesse mani, si ritrova il destino della città.
