Jersey Girl (2004)
New York. Ollie Trinke, public relation man di una grossa agenzia, sposa una ragazza ed è in attesa di una figlia. Al momento del parto, la moglie ha delle complicazioni e muore, lasciando il marito ad accudire la neonata. In un momento di stress per la prematura scomparsa della moglie, Ollie, durante una conferenza stampa, perde il controllo e si sfoga contro i giornalisti presenti. Risultato, licenziamento in tronco. Da questo momento in poi, Ollie, si trasferisce dal padre nel New Jersey, dove trova un lavoro da netturbino, fa crescere la figlia Gertie, e diventa amico di una ragazza, commessa in una videoteca. Il sogno di tornare a Manhattan è però sempre presente nella sua mente.
