Johnny Mnemonic (1995)
Da un racconto di William Gibson che l'ha anche sceneggiato. Nel 2021, un corriere elettronico che nel cervello ha un microchip zeppo di dati preziosi e segreti è braccato dai sicari di una potenza multinazionale farmaceutica. Si rifugia in una comunità di hackers ribelli. Quest'ultima parte è la più suggestiva di un film dove l'apparato figurativo schiaccia quello narrativo e l'azione violenta mortifica il disegno dei personaggi. L'occhio gode, l'intelligenza meno. Delusi i pochi fans di M. Gibson, ma un po' anche quelli, più numerosi, di K. Reeves.
