Yul Brynner (11 luglio 1920 – 10 ottobre 1985) è stato un attore americano di origine russa, di teatro e cinema. Era noto soprattutto per il suo ruolo di Mongkut, re del Siam, nel musical di Rodgers e Hammerstein The King and I, per il quale vinse un Oscar come miglior attore per la versione cinematografica; interpretò anche il ruolo più di 4.500 volte sul palco. È ricordato anche come Rameses II nel film del 1956 di Cecil B. DeMille I dieci comandamenti, il generale Bounine in Anastasia e Chris Adams ne I magnifici sette. Brynner era noto per la sua voce distintiva e per la testa rasata, che mantenne come marchio personale molto tempo dopo averla adottata per il suo ruolo iniziale in The King and I. Fu anche fotografo e autore di due libri.
