Margarita Carmen Cansino (17 ottobre 1918 – 14 maggio 1987), conosciuta con il nome d'arte Rita Hayworth, è stata un'attrice e ballerina cinematografica americana di origine spagnola rom e irlandese. Dopo aver subito estese procedure di whitewashing, raggiunse la fama negli anni '40 come la femme fatale titolare nel film noir Gilda. Essendo una delle star più popolari dell'epoca, fu la pin-up più importante per i soldati americani durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e fu soprannominata "La Dea dell'Amore". È classificata al numero 19 nella lista delle 50 più grandi leggende femminili dello schermo dell'American Film Institute.
