Jonathan Pryce, CBE (nato il 1° giugno 1947) è un attore e cantante gallese di teatro e cinema. Ha ricevuto una nomination all'Oscar per la sua interpretazione nel film del 2019 "I due papi". Dopo aver studiato alla Royal Academy of Dramatic Art e aver incontrato la sua storica compagna, l'attrice inglese Kate Fahy, nel 1974, iniziò la sua carriera come attore teatrale negli anni '70. Il suo lavoro teatrale, inclusa una performance premiata nel ruolo principale di "Hamlet" al Royal Court Theatre, lo portò a diversi ruoli di supporto in film e televisione. Ha ottenuto la sua interpretazione cinematografica di successo nel film cult del 1985 di Terry Gilliam, "Brazil". Lodato dalla critica per la sua versatilità, Pryce ha partecipato a film ad alto budget come "Evita", "Tomorrow Never Dies", "Pirates of the Caribbean" e "The New World", oltre a progetti indipendenti come "Glengarry Glen Ross" e "Carrington". Anche la sua carriera teatrale è stata prolifica, e ha vinto due Tony Awards—il primo nel 1977 per il suo debutto a Broadway in "Cocomians", il secondo per il ruolo del 1991 come "The Engineer" nel musical "Miss Saigon".
