Margo Martindale (nata il 18 luglio 1951) è un'attrice cinematografica, teatrale e televisiva statunitense. Nel 2011 ha vinto un Emmy Award per il suo ruolo di Mags Bennett in Justified. Ha interpretato ruoli secondari in diversi film, tra cui The Hours, Million Dollar Baby nel ruolo della madre del personaggio di Hilary Swank, The Firm, Lorenzo's Oil, Marvin's Room, The Savages e Paris, je t'aime. È stata anche nominata per un Tony Award come migliore attrice non protagonista nel 2004. Margo Martindale è nata il 18 luglio 1951 a Jacksonville, in Texas, dai genitori William Everett e Margaret (Pruitt) Martindale. Oltre a possedere e gestire un'azienda di legname a Jacksonville, suo padre era conosciuto come un campione di conduttori di cani in Texas e in tutti gli Stati Uniti meridionali. Margo era la più giovane di tre figli e l'unica femmina. Suo fratello maggiore è il golfista professionista e progettista di campi da golf Billy Martindale. Il figlio di mezzo, il fratello Bobby Tim, è morto nel 2004. Margo Martindale ha partecipato a golf, cheerleader e teatro mentre era a scuola ed è stata incoronata "Football Sweetheart" e "Miss Jacksonville High School 1969". Dopo essersi diplomato alla Jacksonville High School nel 1969, Martindale ha frequentato il Lon Morris College, poi si è trasferito all'Università del Michigan ad Ann Arbor. Mentre era al Michigan, ha anche studiato all'Università di Harvard, apparendo sul palco con le future star del cinema e della TV Jonathan Frakes e Christopher Reeve.
