Biografia:

David Jude Heyworth Law (nato il 29 dicembre 1972) è un attore inglese. Ha iniziato la sua carriera teatrale prima di ottenere piccoli ruoli in varie produzioni televisive britanniche e film di lungometraggio. Law ha ottenuto riconoscimento internazionale per il suo ruolo in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) di Anthony Minghella, per il quale ha vinto il BAFTA come miglior attore non protagonista ed è stato nominato all'Oscar come miglior attore non protagonista. Law ha ottenuto ulteriore successo critico e commerciale con A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) di Steven Spielberg, Road to Perdition (2002) di Sam Mendes, Cold Mountain di Minghella (2003), per il quale ha ricevuto nomination agli Academy e ai BAFTA, oltre al dramma Closer (2004) e alla commedia romantica The Holiday (2006). I suoi ruoli successivi furono quello del dottor Watson in Sherlock Holmes (2009) e Sherlock Holmes: Un gioco d'ombre (2011), un giovane Albus Silente in Animali Fantastici: I crimini di Grindelwald (2018) e Animali Fantastici: I segreti di Silente (2022), e Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel (2019); tutte queste sono tra le sue uscite di maggior incasso.
