The Lucky Ones (2008)
Omdat soldaat T.K. Poole (Michael Peña) door de oorlog in Irak verwondingen heeft opgelopen mag hij voor een periode naar huis. Als op het vliegveld blijkt dat alle vluchten naar zijn thuishaven zijn geannuleerd moet hij een andere manier vinden om thuis te komen. Bij toeval ontmoet hij twee andere soldaten - Cheaver (Tim Robbins) en Collee (Rachel McAdams) - die ook terugkomen van de oorlog. Eenmaal begonnen aan de reis naar huis komen ze erachter dat het leven in Amerika erg is veranderd. Dit feit brengt de drie dichter bij elkaar en wat een korte trip naar huis zou moeten worden loopt uit tot een onverwachte reis door het land.
