John Ford : l'homme qui inventa l'Amérique (2019)
Gedurende een carrière van 50 jaar en meer dan honderd films smeedde filmmaker John Ford (1894-1973) de legende van het Verre Westen. Door een gezicht te geven aan de kansarmen, van nederige cowboys tot vervolgde minderheden, legde hij als geen ander de grote sociale scheidslijnen bloot die in de Verenigde Staten bestonden en nog steeds bestaan. Wat blijft er meer dan vier decennia na zijn dood over van zijn nalatenschap en humanistische waarden in de herinnering van degenen die van zijn werk houden?
