Churchill and the Movie Mogul (2019)
Winston Churchill begreep de kracht van films, maar de ware omvang van zijn gebruik van cinema als propagandamiddel wordt zelden onderzocht. In 1934 tekende een van de meest gevierde filmproducenten van Groot-Brittannië, Alexander Korda, Churchill als scenarioschrijver en historisch adviseur. Het was het begin van een unieke samenwerking. Churchill leverde scriptnotities voor Korda's producties en schreef een episch scenario. Toen de oorlog uitbrak, kreeg hun samenwerking een nationaal belang. Korda werd op een missie naar Hollywood gestuurd om Amerika in de oorlog te betrekken, met positieve resultaten. Met toegang tot voorheen onontdekte documenten onderzoekt deze filmdocumentaire die missie en een vriendschap die ten grondslag lagen aan een uniek, creatief partnerschap.
