Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
Iemand zet de wereldmachten tegen elkaar op en alleen James Bond kan dit stoppen. Wanneer een Brits marineschip op geheimzinnige wijze tot zinken wordt gebracht, lijkt de aarde op wereldoorlog III af te stevenen totdat James Bond op het spoor komt van het misdadig genie Elliot Carver, een machtige mediabaron, die van het misdadig manipuleren van wereldschokkende gebeurtenissen zijn vak heeft gemaakt. Na een verzoek om hulp aan Carvers vrouw, de sexy Paris, komt Bond in contact met een agente van de Chinese geheime dienst. Wai Lin die over een flink aantal dodelijke capaciteiten beschikt. Samen met haar komt hij terecht in een aantal explosieve acties en adembenemende achtervolgingen in een poging om Carver van zijn laatste nieuwsartikel af te houden: oorlog tussen China en Groot-Brittannië.
