Nix wie raus aus Orange County (2002)
Shaun Brumder ist ein Teenager mit der großen Liebe fürs Surfen, dessen Ehrgeiz stets nur so hoch hinaus will wie die perfekte Welle. Er hat gute Freunde und eine süße Freundin, und obwohl es seiner Familie nicht an Exzentrik mangelt, lebt er im Grunde ein gutes Leben. Diese Idylle wird eines Tages jedoch unwiderruflich verändert. Der Surfunfall eines Freundes verleitet Shaun dazu, die Dinge zu überdenken, und noch während er abwägt, entdeckt er einen Schatz. Vergraben im vertrauten Sand, als hätte es dort auf ihn gewartet, liegt eine Ausgabe von Marcus Skinners Buch "Straight Jacket". Er liest es ... liest es noch einmal, diesmal mit Besessenheit.
