Aviator (2004)
Howard Hughes war ein vielseitig interessierter und begabter Mensch: Regisseur, Pilot, Liebhaber, Multimillionär... Ausgerüstet mit einem kleinen Vermögen, das ihm sein Vater vermacht hat, revolutioniert der junge Hughes in den 1920er Jahren Hollywood und wird einer der erfolgreichsten Produzenten der Traumfabrik. Zahlreiche Affären mit Schauspielerinnen begleiten seinen Weg, darunter sind Jean Harlow, Ava Gardner und Katharine Hepburn. Neben den Frauen hat es ihm das Fliegen angetan. Er steigt aber nicht nur selber ins Cockpit, sondern gründet zudem eine eigene Fluggesellschaft. Hinter all dem Glanz und Tatendrang, den Hughes ausstrahlt und verkörpert, steckt jedoch auch ein psychisch instabiler Mann, der sich deswegen 1947 ins Private zurückzieht...
